Very early Type 99 rifles in this condition rarely come on the market. The Torimatsu Factory made approximately 50,000 Type 99 rifles in 1941 based on the production series and serial number, this Type 99 was made in October 1941. The Type 99 rifle was adopted in 1939 and entered service in 1941 this example, made by the Torimatsu Factory of Nagoya Arsenal, is one of the first ones received by the Japanese Army in 1941. ![]() All the serial numbers match INCLUDING THE DUST COVER! The stock is also very nice with just a couple of dings/handling marks. The condition is exceptional with 98% of blue remaining and complete with dust cover, anti-aircraft sight, and monopod!
